Pete and I went to meet the with the Garrett County Planning and Zoning office this morning to discuss the expansion of our special exception for our cultural events held in the barn. Well you get Pete and I anywhere and we end up visiting for hours. We both like to talk a lot! So it was lunch time and Pete said he would spring for lunch and naturally I said OK. So we decided to try the new little restaurant on Alder Street in Oakland called Jamie's. One work FANTASTIC!!!! I highly recommend and we will definitely be going there for dinner soon! They specialize in Creative American Cuisine. I had a Philly Cheese Steak Quesidilla with a ceasar pasta salad and Pete had a Buffalo Chicken Quesidilla and the Ginger Cole Slaw. Everything was delicious and far too much for me to eat. I got a to go box. YUM!! So if you are in Oakland and hungry stop by and visit Rayetta and Jamie for great conversation and delicious food!!! Just the type of quaint spot Oakland needs.

Official Book Release Party for Neptune's Garden to be at Ridgeview Valley
Want a free copy of Neptune's Garden? Want to learn about the sequel to Neptune's Garden, The Last Good Man? Want to win cool Neptune's Garden related posters, etc? Then join in for the official Neptune's Garden Book Launch Party. The party will start at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday June 26th. It will run until 7:00 p.m. at the Ridgeview Valley Amphitheater in McHenry, MD.
The first 25 people to arrive will receive a free signed copy of Neptune's Garden. Throughout the event free copies of the book and other cool Neptune's Garden related items will be given out. Jeremy will be reading several sections of the book as well as introducing the first several chapters of Neptune's Garden's sequel, The Last Good Man.

Jeremy is a friend & co-worker of mine at Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty. I am really excited for him with his debut novel.
