Another 15 inches of snow is on it's way tonight through Friday for the Deep Creek Lake area. We will have the XC trails groomed and ready. Look for me Saturday and I think Lori Malcolm will be here Sunday for any assistance. Check out the Deep Creek Blog for other XC skiing information. Need to rent skis, go to High Mountain Sports, they are only $20.00 for day rentals. They also rent snowshoes if that is your preference. Get out and enjoy the snow while we have it!

XC Skiing
Here's the deal. The XC ski event that we have been planning is still on. We have been able to bust open trails all the way around the farm. They are only packed with the snowmobile, so you can hardly call them "groomed". However, I am an extremely novice skier and I am found it pretty easy going and quite enjoyable. Just don't fall because it is very deep and difficult to get back on your feet. I do ask that you don't go out by yourself and please carry a cell phone with you. Bring your sleds, snowboards, XC skis, snowshoes or just build a snowman. The snow is fluffy and lots of fun.
Here is a pic of Tim "grooming" with the snowmobile. The groomer is under about 6ft of snow and I don't know if the sled would pull it. I can't wait to go play some more. Maybe I could sneak out again before I leave work. We are planning on packing them some more in the morning so conditions should continue to get better.

How Much Snow, I Don't Know...
But this is supposed to be the big "snowpocalypse" of 2010. So come one come all, snow prognosticators and join the Coldwell Banker Deep Creek Realty fun.
