It's official, yesterday marked the first snow flakes of the season to fall in Garrett County. The flurries were beautiful, even for me who doesn't much like cold weather, and at time pretty blizzard like. At one time I could hardly see the Ridgeview Valley barn from my office window. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures. Today, rain. Tonight, rain and then more snow and even a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY! That's early, but I kind of figured we would have an early winter and I won't be surprised if it is a tough one.
Garrett College Weather even says possible power outages, thank goodness we have a generator and a wood stove. So, dig out your cross country skis and I will get the groomer ready for a fun winter.
