I stumbled upon a very nice article on the Blue Ridge Country, a magazine about exploring the mountains for the south, website about hiking in Deep Creek Lake Maryland. It talks about the size and history of the lake, early settlers like Meshach Browning as well as early visitors like Henry Ford and Thomas Edison and the Old Brant Mine Trail and Meadow Mountain Trail in Deep Creek Lake State Park. Enjoy the read, I am always tickled to see something about our beautiful area and maybe I will go check out these trails on my next day off.
