The Garrett County Highland Festival is coming soon. This great weekend of events is scheduled for June 5-7, so plan your weekend to travel to Deep Creek Lake. This years event is kicked off on Friday with the St. Andrews at Wisp Golf Tournament followed that evening with the concert featuring Bonnie Rideout, world renowned Scottish fiddler--in one of her rare appearances in 2009-- and Celtic roots band MacTalla Mór-- a hard-driving, powerful Celtic roots, rock & bagpipe band with beautiful vocals! Saturday then features the festival; alive with Celtic games, dance & music. Visit the clan tents and Celtic vendors.
